I did this fight at level 10 with two lone wolf members. Tough fight. In the chest room where you find Key of the one , the order in which you loot chest stuff seems to change the legendary item. Looting: - Corner chest first gave me a legendary helm - Center chest first gave a legendary necklase - Urns or Paintings not sure which matters gave legendary gloves. Exact items might, but it seems like you can reload just before opening the last gate and depending on loot order consistently get the same item types.
I don't know if anyone experienced this but I've fought the championship 3 times because the first 2 times everyone became hostile after the fight when I killed Murga first. On the 3rd attempt I tried to run around invisible as soon as the Voidwoken breaks free Invisibility is also broken when it appears if you are already invisible. Sebille wasn't invisible and Murga proceeds to attack her, meaning it's a 3-way battle even though I'm not supposed to kill her first.
Shame because she dropped a one-handed sword and some boots when I killed her, but had to reload because everyone turned hostile. Everyone turns hostile after the fight if you do. You can also just break the 1st gate. It has like HP so it doesnt take too long. I had some difficulty avoiding the petrify after beating Murga and the Voidwoken. Thanks to you all I now know that bless would have been a big help but I was able to shut off the valves using the teleport gloves.
You can teleport one party member over and then exchange the gloves through the gate to bring another over. Does anyone know if the Voidwoken is holding any loot? Killed Murga first and didn't have the opportunity to check. A bug is triggered in any situation where a party member remains dead after killing the Voidwoken and Murga: if you accept to fight your friends to be champion, the fight will not be a 2v2 fight but a 2v1 and the fight will never end, even when there's only one character left alive supposedly the rightful champion.
If you don't want to load and start the fight again, you can use a Resurrection Scroll in-battle on the character that was dead before starting the 2v2 team fight, thus being able again to close the battle and the quest.
Seems there's a bug if you're shackled to the Voidwoken and the killing blow also kills you and Murga's already dead. The quest never closes, and the NPCs all seem to think the fight is still ongoing. I had to reload and play it safer so I didn't get shackled. Both fights were great, albeit I hated that Murga gets the first turn in the second round, it complicated things a little.
Was doing the fight on Classic with 2 members. First fight was over on the second try after I got the positioning down, still, incredibly tense.
I did the fight in the arena blindfolded like she asked and then for some reason she went back on her promise and refused to fight me. So I killed her to prove the point she was not better. At this point, you are given the option to "give yourself" to your god, or refuse. If you choose to "give yourself", your god will rip out your source and your character will instantly die, but combat will still be initiated with the rest of your party members. If you refuse, they will angrily proclaim they made you, and combat will still begin anyway.
In either case, you will have to fight your clones, so defeat them all for 55,XP each. Once the last clone remains, a Source Titan will spawn from the last clone, and you will have to fight it.
Don't forget to loot the Source Titan after it's dead for some really nice loot. Note: Sometimes, there is a bug where you will not receive 55,XP for killing a clone. If this happens, you will have to reload and kill them again or you will forfeit the XP.
After the fight, use Malady's beacon to escape. Be very careful not to step on the lava surfaces - they will instantly kill any member if stepped upon! Only one member needs to use the beacon, and a cutscene will play with Malady saving the entire party from certain death.
After being rescued, you will be granted 69,XP, although this XP reward is not shown in the combat log due to the transition into Act IV, wiping your log clean.
Back at the Lady Vengeance, you can spend a night with one of your companions. Once you're ready, talk to the figure statue to summon Malady, and you'll continue the journey to the final Act, Arx. Use of Mass Deploy Trap is great here. You can also kill all the origin characters too, only Fane will have anything worth looting granted all mine were sworn skeletons, except of course my loyal girl Sebille.
I find it unfortunate that the label "The One" is used ambiguously. We have the quest "Proving Ground" which provides the trophy "The One", it is a championship like Driftwood champion. Then, there is the other quest "Arena of the One" which means the one player that shall reach divinity, fighting other story characters. You can use all the gear you loot until you finish the arena battle only.
But how do you heal the red damage when you get back to the hub that's my question.. Pugilism is great becuase you're not likely to to take red damage, so you can just do those a few times and heal up.
Alternatively, you can hire a recruit and have them fight while your other character s heal up. Blacktoll View Profile View Posts.
