However, Darmanitan only being available at lvl20 severely limits is use. Mamoswine can be frequently found at lvl35 and is nearly as good while also haveing some dual utility as a ground-type so why spend oodles of and on Darmanitan? How amazing would it be to catch one in snowy weather during a winter event?
This year seems a bit soon but maybe next year. Dieno, Kingklang, Shinx, Darumaka, Sewaddle yes, technically it was a wild catch for about 3 days , and now the 12k eggs… smh. I really expected sewaddle to stick around. What would be really nice is an Un-evolve feature. Darumaka is one of the fan-favorite Pokemon from the 5th generation, and it received a whole new Galarian form in the latest games as well.
So players with Pokemon Shield will have to get a Darumaka via trading from the other version. In order to evolve Darumaka into a Darmanitan, players need to find and use the Ice Stone. Once players have an Ice Stone in their inventory, all they have to do is use the stone on their Darumaka, and it will evolve into a Darmanitan without any issues.
The Ice Stone is not very common, so players will have to do a bit of searching before they can get their hands on the evolution rock. First of all, players have to ensure that their bikes have the Water mode enabled.
To get this feature enabled, players will have to beat the sixth gym and get that badge. Originally, this set of Pokemon were Fire Type, based on the Daruma Dolls, who in turn were modelled on the found of Zen Buddhism, who was known for his bushy eyebrows. Unlike back in Gen 5, you won't just be able to evolve Darumaka into Darmanitan by simply getting it to level Instead, you'll need to use an item.
The level of your Darumaka doesn't matter, you just need to use an Ice Stone on it - although we'd always advise levelling up your Darumaka first if you want a really powerful evolution. There isn't a PokeMart where you can just go and buy an Ice Stone in Pokemon Sword and Shield, so instead you'll need to find one somewhere in Galar, and there's one nestled in the Wild Area - specifically the Lake of Outrage.
You'll need to have completed the sixth gym and unlocked the water traversing version of your bike first though. That's because you'll need to head over to the Lake of Outrage, cross the water to the other side and reach the circular rock formation that's lying there.
There are Evolution Stones at the base of each of these rocks, so go grab them!
