So I took a chance and they coated my armpit hair in volume 20 creme developer, slightly lower than what I would use on my head which would be volume 40 just to be safe. And it actually didn't burn, like at all. After only 20 minutes, my pits were white blonde! Way easier than I expected. As I waited for both the bleach and the color to take hold, I didn't know what to do with my arms. I alternated positions of arms over my head, arms out to my side, hands on my hips — I considered just lying on the ground with my arms spread to minimize muscle fatigue.
However, once I finally put my arms down, I realized the dyes were pretty self contained in my armpit, and didn't rub off anywhere else once my arms were at my side. Since there is so little hair on your armpits compared to your head, the dye is going to get everywhere.
You can minimize messiness by using your hands to apply the dye instead of a brush, and rub it through the hair with your fingers. This method also does some good for your hair, as it's not being slathered directly onto the roots. OMG, you can dye your leg hair too? DO tell more! If I had my way, dudes would shave their armpits too- seeing those little deodorant dingleberries hanging there makes me gag a little. I shave for similar reasons — primarily I like it better. As it happens, my husband shaves too, for the exact same reasons. If it were up to us, humans would be hairless.

Ultimately, some women do choose to shave simply to avoid the negative reactions, not for their own reasons, and the fact that that happens at all is terrible. Personally I would love if women went back to not completely shaving their pubic hairs for example. For me and many other guys it is so much more sexy. Anyways that only on a side note. If you want to grow and dye your armpit hairs, go ahead. All those mucus membranes down there with all that bleach? I shave. When I am lazy and havnt shaved for quite a while. In winter my pits get longer but in summer I keep them short. Shaving in the tropics really does help keep B.
O down. My deodorant stick stayed white, my armpit hair stayed pink—wins all around. I did my normal thing—wash my underarms with body wash in the shower. The hair air-dried really fast too. I haven't had the hair long enough to consider trimming it, but I don't see it being much of an issue. Maybe if the length got out of hand after a few months I would trim.
For the first 36 hours, yes. But after that the color stayed put. The Manic Panic color I used tends to wash out fairly easily although I haven't noticed the color fading one bit yet. When you rinse the dye the first time, the shower water will run pink and your underarm skin might still be pretty pink.
After that first shower, however, the dye stuck steadfastly to my hair.
