They are not just in lakes and rivers, as I have fished them up in the ocean while fishing for Giant Mantis Shrimp. I usually end up having more Carp than what I'm actually fishing for. Comment by kakoe I'm not completely sure if the chance will be lower but I was leveling cooking and decided to start fishing to get it a higher level to get the carp, and ended up fishing a Golden Carp at fish level , so it doesn't seem that there's a level needed to get them. Although, I'm not sure how common they'll be for people with low fishing, I got it on my third or so cast.
Comment by smith This fish is only used for the leveling recipes for cooking and a daily for the cloud serpents. If you do not need to level cooking or grind with the cloud serpents, this fish is great to put on the AH.
